Specimen Requirements: 1.0 mL (min 0.5 mL)

Specimen Type: Serum, Plasma, Oral Fluid, or Dried Blood Spot

For serum, plasma, and oral fluid the transport tube (aliquot tube) containing specimen must be labeled with the specimen type (serum, plasma, or oral fluid) and at least two unique patient identifiers.

Transport Temperature: Refrigerated (cold packs)

Specimen Stability: 

• Refrigerated: 7 days
• Frozen: 30 days

Rejection Criteria: 

• Gross hemolysis
• Grossly lipemic
• Grossly icteric
• Specimen type not labeled
